Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: March 02, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing the website at publishingprowess.com or by engaging in our professional services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between the Client ("You") and Publishing Prowess ("the Company").

2. Nature of Services (Business Model Disclosure)

Publishing Prowess is a service-based self-publishing support company. We provide professional assistance in writing, editing, cover design, manuscript formatting, and publishing setup.

Explicit Disclaimer: We are NOT a traditional publishing house. We do not act as a literary agent, we do not pay royalties, and we do not acquire the rights to your work. Our relationship is that of a professional service provider and a client.

3. Billing & Payment Transparency

  • Service Fees: All fees are clearly outlined in your selected package or custom service agreement before any work begins.
  • No Hidden Costs: We do not charge ongoing maintenance fees unless explicitly stated in a recurring marketing or hosting agreement.
  • Secure Processing: Payments are processed via secure, industry-standard third-party gateways. We do not store full credit card information on our servers.
  • Taxes: Clients are responsible for any applicable taxes based on their jurisdiction.

4. Client Intellectual Property & Copyright

You represent that you are the sole owner of all materials submitted to us.

Ownership Guarantee: Upon final payment and project completion, you retain 100% of the rights to your manuscript, the final formatted files, and the cover design. Publishing Prowess claims no ownership or ongoing interest in your intellectual property or future royalties.

5. Revision & Approval Policy

  • Standard Revisions: Most packages include a specific number of revision rounds. Revision requests must be submitted within 14 business days of receiving a deliverable.
  • Scope Changes: Major changes to the manuscript after design or formatting has commenced may result in additional service fees.
  • Final Approval: Once a client provides final written approval of a file (e.g., a "Press-Ready" PDF), any subsequent errors found are the responsibility of the client.

6. Performance & Commercial Success Disclaimer

While we strive for the highest professional standards, Publishing Prowess makes no guarantees, express or implied, regarding book sales, platform rankings, bookstore placements, or commercial revenue. Success in the publishing market depends on variables beyond our control, including market demand, current trends, and the author's personal promotional efforts.

7. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Refunds are calculated based on the stage of the project. If work has not yet commenced, a full refund (minus administrative fees) may be issued. Once a project phase (such as editing or design) has been completed and delivered, that portion of the service is non-refundable. Please refer to our full Refund Policy for milestone details.

8. Communication (SMS & Email)

By submitting an inquiry form, you agree to be contacted via phone, email, or SMS regarding your inquiry.

  • SMS consent is used strictly for project updates and direct service communication.
  • We do not share, sell, or rent your mobile data to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
  • Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time. Reply HELP for assistance.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the company is registered, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
